Dig out your soul.

Are you, like me, an Oasis fan? Are you looking forward to their new album? Well don't . I've heard it and it is shit beyond belief. What a waste of time. My first impression was "what an absolute disgrace". And it is. Gutted.

Thank fuck I'm not a fan then, but I do like some of their earlier stuff.

I like them on the Radio and really like there earlier stuff, when it was rawish!

this is devoid of anything.

I have always found them to be lacking in flair and innovation, and mostly unappealing, so I would have been pleasantly surprised if the new album represented a startling change. for the better. I didn't expect a change for the worse though.

Any tracks on youtube - I'd like a listen?

Tom.

look for new single The Shock Of The Lightning , probably the best of a bad bunch. but don't expect much, it hasn't really even got a chorus. not my cup of tea at all.

I just listened to that. It doesn't have the raw excitement that their earlier stuff had. I guess increasing age is having it's effect.

Tom.

as we were listening to it (the album) my mate who I've been to see Oasis with about 8 times turned to me and said "remember when listening to a new Oasis album made your hairs stand on end ?" whatever they had they've lost with this album. its such a disapointment.

OMFG! I've just skimmed all the tracks, and every single one sounds like White Album era Beatles! I'm shocked. They've always been accused of being similar to The Beatles (sometimes unfairly), but this one sounds EXACTLY like them.

Stunned.

Tom.

yeah, but its a poor, pale immitation.

For every Ying there is a Yang

I reckon it sees them nearly back to the heady days of the 90's

I've only seen them 3 times so maybe not as qualified as you Del, but its the best studio album since Morning Glory

....and Bag it up could well be about my 3rd or 4th all time favourite track

Which isnt a bad way to start...

It has taken me about 10 listens to get to this though - first impressions weren't great but you just have to Roll with It
